If you are interested in our program, please e-mail us at director@amblesidestl.com to get more information and the link to fill out our waitlist questionnaire.
Once that questionnaire has been received you will be added to our waitlist.
Families already enrolled in our program are given first priority to enroll their children for the next year, but once their enrollment closes we move on to the families on the waitlist.
If spaces open up that would fit your family, we will schedule a meeting with you and your children so we can make sure that our program will be the best fit for both parties. We will talk about our core values and how we will be focusing on things like scripture study to make sure our views align with your children and your family. We would also like to hear about your goals for your child(ren) and learn about the approximate level of your child in the subjects we will be focusing on as well as discuss any skills they may want to work on before they start.
We try to make this program feel like a second home for the families and do things like potlucks and family-style meals for orientation and gather together a couple of times a year for the students to show off the songs, poetry, plays, art, etc. they have been working on!
If our meeting and prayer reveal our program will be a good fit for your family, you will be sent an online enrollment form to fill out. The non refundable enrollment fee will be due at the time of enrollment to reserve your child(ren)’s spot.
We are now requiring all new families to enroll in both cottage and forest school for their first year. This allows the family to become fully immersed in Ambleside and able to see firsthand how each program can support their family specifically. After the first year, families may continue in both programs or only do one if that suits their schedule better.
All programs are pending sufficient enrollment. While the enrollment fee is non-refundable, the exception to that is if the class or program is canceled.
We ask for a year-long commitment. If you are not confident that you can make that kind of commitment - pending extreme circumstances, of course - we ask that you do not register. Drop-outs can potentially affect the financial stability of the class as a whole, and we want to avoid this if at all possible.
We are a team of homeschooling moms, so we may not reply to your inquiry right away but we do check our emails and respond accordingly on Mondays and Wednesdays each week.
"Ambleside has gotten my kids out of their comfort zones, they have made great new friends, and they are learning so much! After a day immersed in nature, my children are calmer, happier, more talkative about what they experienced, and more interested in playing outside or with each other than screen time. And I love that bedtime on Mondays and Wednesdays are the easiest nights of the week! "
